If you’re reading this site then it’s safe to say weight loss is on your mind. That’s a good thing! After all, most of us struggle with our weight at some point during our life. As of today a full 65% of Americans are either overweight or obese and this has lead to a frightening increase in heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and more. Doctors and researchers spend millions of dollars searching for “cures” for these diseases when we already know that the best way to dramatically reduce our risk of these diseases is to lose weight and get into shape. Of course, losing weight is never as easy as it sounds and weight-loss programs can be complex, expensive, or both.
The Authors
My name is Kathy and I am the primary researcher and writer for 4DietReview. For over 10 years I have been passionate about improving and maintaining my own health. A healthy body weight was a central goal, since I’d had weight swings of about 20 pounds for much of my life. One day it occurred to me that I needed more information in order to reach and maintain my ideal weight. I went on a mission, searching for the newest health, diet and nutrition information I could find. This eventually allowed me to find a healthy diet plan that I used to shed those 20 pounds for good. Today I maintain my healthy weight while enjoying my favorite foods in moderation. If you are interested in the plan I use, please refer to our review on Fat Burning Furnace (FBF). I personally found the program to be excellent, as it combined sound nutrition with a practical exercise program for overall health and fitness.
I have also followed Dr. Weil’s eating guidelines for some time, as the FBF Diet’s eating plan is similar to Dr. Weil’s plan.. His website is: http://www.drweil.com. Dr. Weil’s plan has some components of the Mediterranean Diet, but is updated with his own recent nutritional discoveries. Both Dr. Weil and Fat Burning Furnace focus on nutrient dense foods.
Once I met my own personal weight loss goal, my interest in health, wellness and weight management continued to grow and I decided to pursue a certificate in health and wellness. Today I am certified as a Holistic Life Coach, which teaches a holistic or ‘wholly-integrated’ approach to our body, mind, and spirit. I’ve chosen to specialize in writing on health topics for the body, focusing on nutrition and weight management here on 4dietreview. My partner, Rich also writes for us, while also maintaining the creative and technical aspects of the site.
